Thailand

Koh- Phi Phi, Lanta and Tao

Koh Koh Koh, everything seems to be an island when it comes to Thailands tourist areas. The weather is awesome and I just got news from back home that it's a lot of snow right now. Hard to imagen in the heat here. The 7-11 stores here has a tempature of 24 degrees and you actually feel cold iside that.

After Krabi we came to Phi Phi which could be best described as an small Magaluf, Mallorca. Alot of party and long days on the beach.

Thing about alcohol over here seem to be that everyone drinks either beer or "buckets". Buckets is as it stated a bucket filled with local spirits of some kind, probably not the best stuff in the world but when mixed with some Thai redbull you can enter a bar in zombie state and leave it more awake than you've been for the last couple of years.
On Phi Phi we made it a habbit to watch a band who played at a pub called Rolling Stoned Bar every night. The band itself was called "Made in Thailand Band" and they were awesome. 3 hours of rock classic every night. I'll long for that place for quite some time. On Phi Phi we also went to the island where they recorded the movie "The Beach". It was a cool experience filled with a beautifull view and some great snorkling. The capten got a bit to wasted of all that weed he was smoking on the way back but just more fun for us cause he danced really funny.

After Phi Phi we went to Lanta which is my favourite place of Thailand this far. The atmosphare is more chilled out and we arrived to a resort called Lanta Family resort.

The name kinda tricked you cause when we first arrived we just saw young people. Within 20 minutes we were already inviterd to a local event started by a guy called Matt from New Zealand. The event was called White Russian Club and it all was about socialising with the people at your resort. Every night at sunset everyone gathered in a circle painted in the sand and was handed a white russian drink. There were some rules tho. You couldn't speak anything else then Thai or English and you couldn't swear. If you did you had to go out in the water to a pole which had a bell in it and ring the bell in shame. And if you broke any records since the start of white russian club (been going on for about 50 days now, so still very possible to do) you had to buy everyone a drink. The scottish were pretty good at swearing thus was the ones doing the walk of shame the most. It varied from night to night but some nights it could be like 30 people joining in. I met the most fun people in my life here and I probably would still be there if it wasn't for the plane leaving bangkok to cambodja soon. Also there were two australian guys worth mentioning, they drank all day all night all the time, LITTERLY!!! Never met somebody who could drink that much during a few days and not feel worse than these two guys did.

We also did some scooter driving on Lanta which made us see the country side. A lot of poor people around but they still looked happy. We also feed some elephants and did some trekking in the jungle.

Next stop will be Koh Tao and Kho Pangang untill then!

Thailand

Bangkok-Krabi

sunny 33 °C

Heya!
Wow, what a start, the last days have been overvelming to say the least. It all started in Copenhagen when we weren't allowed to come any further than the checkin. It seemed someone forgot to inform us about some important rules like that you can't enter Thailand without a ticket out of there within 30 days. So with some minuts to spare we had to run and find a traval agancy that could sell us such a ticket. It wasn't easy but in the end they did let us go, and we had no problems at all when arriving in Bangkok, they hardly looked at our papers, so kinda strange... Anyways, Bangkok is somewhat really diffrent from what we are used to. From the first step outsied the airport people are litterly hanging over you and trying to sell you their stuff, go with their cab, eat at their place or watch their pingpong show. And without any sleep for like 36 hours that gets kinda too much so we decided to leave as soon as possible for some beaches and more calmer areas. With some sightseeing and one night at a hostel we were off on a buss to south of theiland to a place called Krabi. The journey there took about 16 hours and in a buss that made you feel not only shaken but steard. Hehe, we could easily make jumps of a 30cm in the air on the last buss. The first half hour we just sat and laughting case we were so tired but as soon the insomnia made its presents. Myztique had slept for 6 hours the last 72 hours and now we just wanted to arrive at some place.. any place. But wow, when we did arrive it was so worth it. We are currently staying on an island which you take a boat out too and the beaches are like cards you send to your relatives but nicer. I already look like a brittish dude in Magaluf, red red and white on some protected areas and I've been in the sun for maybe a few hours :) So now we are finally a bit seatlled and tonight it's Saturday and I'm hopeing for a huge party taking place on the camp we are staying we'll see cause it seems quite calm so far. We'll probably stay here for a few nights and then we're off to Phi Phi Island or something.

Sorry I didn't have time to upload pictures nicly and add here but if you are interested I uploaded all on the mt ftp and the url is:

just change the number, I think most should be there.

Now I need to catch the boat or it will leave without me, and then I have to swim with over like we did yesterday. Not so funny :)
Untill next time!
